Romantic Navona is probably what you should image under the theme "typical romantic italian home"

We loved it from the beginning for the deep feeling of warmness that it issues.

Downstairs you find a 1st living with double sofa bed, the small bathroom, and the 2nd living with the kitchen and the old fireplace.

On split level there is the bedroom.

Italian "cotto" as floor tiles, wooden ceiling, wooden windows, the fire place, the lovely courtyard...a small italian dream that will make you feel at home

Last but not least: it's extremely quiet. That surely contributes to make it so...romantic!

Via di Monte Giordano is an elegant popular street of Navona area. Palazzo Taverna, owned by ex prime Minister Berlusconi, offers to the lucky visitors the view of ones of most beautiful frescoes of Rome.

​

You are next Piazza Navona, the most significant example of Baroque Roman architecture and art.

It features important sculptural and architectural creations: in the center stands the famous Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi or Fountain of the Four Rivers (1651) by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, topped by the Obelisk of Domitian, brought in pieces from the Circus of Maxentius; the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone by Francesco Borromini, Girolamo Rainaldi, Carlo Rainaldi and others; and the aforementioned Pamphili palace, also by Girolamo Rainaldi, that accommodates the long gallery designed by Borromini and frescoed by Pietro da Cortona.
